Another sports betting deal in Ontario is signed by Kambi Group
Kambi Group, a pioneer in the development of online gambling technology from Malta, has announced the signing of a multi-year contract to begin providing its retail sportsbetting platform to renowned Canadian casino operator Great Canadian Entertainment.
The company, which has its headquarters in Valletta, announced the agreement in a formal press statement on Thursday. It will supply Great Canadian Entertainment's eleven land-based casinos in the province of Ontario with "its leading on-property sportsbook." The pioneer said that the partnership will allow its newest partner to take use of "a high-performance retail sportsbook solution" that includes self-service betting kiosks with "fully configurable digital signage functionality."
Gaining weight:
Kambi Group recently agreed to a deal that could cost it up to €78.1 million ($77.8 million) to buy Shape Games, a renowned provider of front-end technologies. This latest partnership is intended to help Kambi Group capitalise on its already dominant position in the developing Canadian sportsbetting market. The business stated that over 40 iGaming operators in 17 North American jurisdictions, including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York, are currently using its iGaming innovations.
Prior to the Pledge:
Kambi Group's Chief Executive Officer, Kristian Nylen, revealed in a press release that his company will launch sportsbooks in physical casinos throughout the most populous province in Canada, including the newest, the 330,000 square foot Pickering Casino Resort. The knowledgeable individual added that this agreement comes after his business recently signed a similar Ontario agreement with Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment about the properties at Fallsview Casino Resort and Casino Niagara.

Tony Rodio, the Chief Executive Officer of Toronto-based Great Canadian Entertainment, revealed that his company is in charge of 12 casinos in Ontario, including the 25,000 square foot Great Blue Heron Casino and Hotel and the even larger Shorelines Casino Peterborough properties. His company is also in charge of 25 gaming, entertainment, and hospitality destinations across Canada.
